1. What kind of browser do I need to use to connect to the chat?
- For the best speed and compatibility with the chat client, we recommend you download the latest version of Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
Chrome is the recommended choice.
2. What are the login options I have to chat?
You have the option to log in as a guest user or if you want to keep your username for future use, you can register an account with your email.
3. Do I have to register to participate?
No, you can participate as a "Guest" user. If you are a frequent visitor to our chat rooms, we advise you to register. Please note that the Kids Chat room requires registration.
4. Is it free?
Yes, 100% free no strings attached.
5. I am receiving a message that I am using a VPN or Proxy service to access the free chat. What does that mean?
This means that the current IP address you are using to access the website has been flagged as a 'bad' IP address. We do not allow VPN or Proxy services to access our chat rooms. If you feel this is a mistake, please use our contact form and be sure to reference your IP address in the comments field. VIP members are not subject to VPN checks. You may want to consider purchasing a VIP package.
6. What is a VIP account and does it cost anything?
The VIP accounts are for registered users who would like to have additional features. It is totally optional and you do not have to get it. The cost ranges depending on room. Prices are listed accordingly. To access VIP, please click the VIP link on the left menu and follow the instructions. You can also donate VIPs in certain chat rooms. They must also be a registered user. For further information, please visit our VIP page.

7. I haven't logged in for a while and now it says my account does not exist.
The chat room will automatically remove accounts after as little as 14 days of continuous non-use. Please make sure you stay active in the chat rooms if you do not want your account deleted.
8. How do I ignore another user or why does someone not respond when im talking to him/her?
You can click the users profile and add him/her on by clicking the 'ignore' button in red.

If you change your mind, you can select delete it by going to MY PROFILE and clicking the ignore list. Simply delete it.

9. How do I private chat and/or video chat with someone?
You will be able to private chat with someone by clicking on their screen name and then clicking "Private chat". This will open a new window where you can chat one on one with another user without being disturbed. You can move the private window around to a spot that suits you. This room does not support private video chat.
10. How long are private messages stored for? How about public messages?
Due to server limitations, private messages are kept for as little as 24 hours with some chats up to 2 or 3 days. Public messages are never stored and chat history can be viewed for a limited time. For privacy reasons, we do not have access to them so please do not ask us. Having said that, it is still possible for a user to screenshot your conversations.
11. I cannot connect. It says I am banned from the chat. How long is the ban for?
Usually a ban is as a result of committing a severe offense. It is usually a lifetime ban. You can use our contact form if you would like to inquire about a ban.
12. Which chat rooms currently use this chat software?
Right now all of our free chats utilize this modern version style format with the exception of Video Chat and the Cams Chat.
13. I have lost my username, how can i recover it?
Unfortunately, there is no way we can recover a username for you. You will need to create a new account using a new email address or your previous email if it has been purged from our systems. You can always log in with your email address.
14. How I change my password?
Simply go to 'My Profile' and select the 'Options' tab.
15. How I turn off sounds?
Simply go to 'My Profile', then select the 'Options' tab, and then 'sound settings'.
16. I no longer want my account. How can I delete my account?
Go to "My Profile" and select the "Options" tab.

17. My profile picture suddenly disappeared. What happened?
If you are using a profile picture that is not allowed in the room you are in, it will be removed. You risk your account being banned or deleted as well. Also, periodically we will delete all profile pictures and restore them to the default one. This is to ensure profile pictures are fresh and we have not missed the deletion of any inappropriate profile pictures. Simply replace the default profile picture with your former or new profile picture.
18. I have been muted, kicked or banned. How long is it for?
For mutes, it can range from 2 minutes to up to 10 minutes. The mute will automatically fall off when it is over; For kicks, the time left before you are "unkicked" will be visible on a timer when you try to log into the chat room; For bans, they are for a lifetime with little chance of it being removed. If you feel there has been a mistake, please contact the admin of the chat room directly. They can be found in the chat forums.
19. This help page does not apply to the flash chat rooms I am still using. Where is that help page?
Flash is currently set to be discontinued sometime in 2020. Adobe and major browsers will no longer support this technology. The only chat rooms that still have flash as an option are the: Adult Chat, Gay Chat room, and the Teen Chat. For our cam chat rooms, it is required to use Flash, and that can be found in the video chat room. Please go to our Flash Chat Help page for further support on those rooms. Those rooms will be eventually phased out at some point in the year 2020.
UPDATE: Flash has completely been phased out now. No chat rooms are currently using Flash technology. You can uninstall the Flash software from your computers. It is not recommended to use Flash.
20. I am not using a VPN or Proxy, however, I still cannot connect.
Due to the amount of spam that we receive, we have decided to block certain internet service providers (ISP's) that are known to have many spammy users. It is also possible that your home country has blocked access to our website.
21. Do you have a Privacy Policy or Terms of Service page I can view?
Yes, we do. Here is our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy pages for your references. We expect all users to follow our Terms of Service and fully understand our Privacy Policy before using our platform.
